Prehistoric art is all art produced in prehistorical cultures beginning around very late geological history. This continues until a culture develops writing or other record keeping.This is a stage known as ancient art , which has many different origin dates throughout the world.
Examples of prehistoric art can be traced back 500,000 years to the Upper Paleolithic period. Most well known for cave paintings, figurines and small beads, and later adornments to tools dominate the period.
Statuary and monoliths are a large part of prehistoric art and show progress and the appearance of the Bronze age. Here's a list of 25 ancient monoliths.
